EOL Fundraising Policies and Guidelines

Fundraising is the solicitation or raising of funds to support non-profit or charitable organizations. In relation to events, fundraising is considered to be requests for donations, sales of tickets for admission (see Admissions section), or other donations.

On University properties, departments and groups may engage in fundraising or other solicitation of funds if such activity is in consonance and compliance with established Federal, State, local laws, and University rules and/or policies, and if such activity is not in direct conflict with established programs and fundraising efforts supported or sponsored by any University Development Office or other campus entity to which the program has been designated (i.e. University Campaign).

University units and Support Groups must obtain authorization for fundraising from the Chancellor or his designee (the Office of Special Events & Protocol).

All registered organizations must obtain authorization from the office of Student Organizations, Leadership & Engagement (SOLE).
